From MMOChamp, which is quoting an article where Tom Chilton(Kalgan) answers a few questions.

Quote:
•The Transmogrifier NPC, which will let you change the appearance of any armor piece on you, while retaining the stats of your current gear. (= T12 stats, but with the Tier 2 look!)
•Players won't be able to change the appearance of their armor into another armor type or class armor set, and you might have to own the armor before you can use it to swap the appearance of your existing armor.
•The Void Storage is a new type of bank where players will be able to store their old armors in order to free up space in their regular bank.

I'm sure it will be limited to raid teir gear, but damn it would be awesome if I could wear what looks like a bunch of RP looking greys into a raid, haha. Also, this means I have to decide what looks best of my characters for a raid situation!

It's too bad weapons and shields weren't mentioned. Though I understand why. If shields could be changed, Gohir would be insisting even more on Black Temple runs, heh.

It goes against the argument they've made for years against have "appearance slots" on characters, but it certainly is a boon for RPers. I always preferred the scruffy, functional look of armor while leveling than the endgame sets, so this would be a nice way to get that level-40 look again. :D

Well, I'm thinking that Blizz's arguements have become moot since there are other ways, some intuitive, of knowing the basic gear level of a character. Players are a bit more savvy about that sort of thing now. And really, when I think about the times I've PvPd, it wasn't because of the gear they were wearing that I realized how uber they were. It was them kicking my butt, hehe.

Plus, I'm sure there is some growing pressure since some other games now allow for the cosmetic changes to armor. Give the population some fluff perks to help keep them loyal to the game. Mmm, candy.

Also.
I'll be running old raids a lot now. Anyone wanna come, or at least help me form a raidgroup so I can solo the older stuff?

Also, shield and weapons ARE included. Tell Gohir.

One of hte restricytions is "gear neds to have stats on it" ... so, no wearing RP greys with the power of t12....

I will not be content until I can take Mingo into battle wearing nothing but a ripped ogre loincloth and a smile.

It seems they took into account the unfair advantage this would give you, Mingo. :P

I think most greys and whites have a green sharing the same model, maybe with a slight recolor. I know most of my rp gear is green.

Also, I might start running a lot of SSC/TK in the coming weeks, as I'm definitely heading toward the tier 5 look. It's just awesome on an orc mage. Either that or a bunch of greens.

Oh, and I know they're some green loincloths in the game, as well as green harnesses and other pieces of armor that look skimpy on both male and female character, so I definitely think the barbarian look will be doable.

Mingo isn't exactly going for the barbarian look. Heh. His line of thinking is more along the lines of Chippendales. >>
