Lovers of Battle and Students of History Alike -
Following our recent revival of the "Peace Walk" tradition, the Homeland is pleased to announce a follow-up event in contrasting style: The Piece Walk Revival!
Started by the Grim Maw Clan over four years ago, the Piece Walks came from a simple desire: to slaughter every living thing that refuses to bow to the might of the Horde! For the sake of symmetry, we will be retracing last week's Peace Walk route to Astranaar, where we will storm the town, slaughter the inhabitants, and make our way north and west, until the Alliance stops us or the Archdruid dies - whichever comes first!
We hope to see a good fight from the Alliance, and to help them, we will be restricting our travel to the roadways, departing from Splintertree Post at 6:30 on Wednesday and making our way to Astranaar and places beyond. Finding us should be simple - just look for the piles of bodies! Many Alliance warriors - including those who attacked the Peace Walk - have already declared their intent to defend, and we hope that the Horde will respond with the crushing force that defined the first Piece Walks.
Cancel your dinner plans! Tell your date "another night"! Beat up old gods and new monsters another night, because WEDNESDAY IS THE PIECE WALK!
-Greatmother Arjah, Homeland
((As promised! The follow-up to the Peace Walk, for the more bloodthirsty (or just the inconsistent, like Arjah) among us! The Horde raid will gather up at Splintertree Post in Ashenvale, leaving at 6:30, and we hope to see some good Alliance defense at Astranaar! If we don't, we'll just roll on through and kill NPCs on up to Darnassus, rather than hang around the town, so if you arrive late and everything's already dead - follow the road north! We'll be along it somewhere, unless Staghelm's already down.
It's a great chance to relive the hilariously arbitrary slaughterfests that defined pre-battleground honor farming, and we hope everyone will take a few hours out of their Wednesday to tag along - there is talk of a Tarren Mill/Southshore-themed event in the future, but for now, this will be our Old Skool PvP event. Silliness and slaughter will abound!))
