The changes in the world have caused fundamental shifts in the balance of things. Some of those shifts are obvious. The great beast, Deathwing, looks to bring death and destruction to all things. The great nations of the Horde and Alliance have gone to war to lay claim to lands and resources. But then there are those shifts which are not so obvious.

There are many creatures that have taken advantage of the change in landscapes, of population, of the multitudes of deaths. The smallest of creatures, the critters who crawl underfoot, many times unseen or ignored. Well, it is hard to ignore them now. The little critters have had a population boom. And we must do what we can to help return balance to their numbers! Play your little part to restore the balance!

Within the next week, pay attention to these small creatures. Take down as many as you can. Bring their little carcasses home and they will be counted and made useful. The one who brings home the most, Brother Gohir has offered a prize for your efforts, a De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion

The count begins Wednesday the 15th at high noon and finishes Wednesday the 22nd at high noon.

((So a little incentive to work on one of the guild achievements. Specifically Critter Kill Squad. Wednesday the 15th, I will be looking up everyone's achievement record and seeing how many critters you've killed. On the 22nd, I will see how high that number has increased. The person with the highest number earns a little mechanical bunny! And it brings us all a little closer to having a little armadillo pup! :D ))

So I guess it's safe to assume that you as GM can see who did what and how many were killed...

I'm all over this one.

You can check a person's critter kill count by checking their armory statistics. A guild-wide audit will be performed at the beginning of the event, and another after the even has ended. Comparisons will be made, cake will be had, and mechanobunnies will hop.

Oddly enough I'm at 4,200. Even number... :/ Hope this thing counts accurately for the contest!

I double checked this morning to make sure Armory was updating properly, which it is. Your statistics shown will be the numbers you have after your last log out.

Just to clarify.. this contest starts at NOON, WEDNESDAY 12/15/2010 @ 12:00 PM. Server time?

I want to be sure it's not 12 a.m. so I know when to start pounding it out.

Thanks!

I smell Armadillo...

I know you are all honest people, but I feel I need to mention this. . .

No dual boxing! I know it would help the guild get the 50k faster. But it is not in the spirit of an individual competition, yar. So no logging onto your, friend's, boyfriend's, wife's account and having them group with you and folloe your toon aimlessly around. If they are not actively killing with you, then it's going to get you the hose!

Can we not "claim spots" either? I'd hate to log on and have someone fussing about me farming in a spot that they claim as theirs.
Pixel urine doesn't count as claiming a spot! :P

P.S. I've let the hubbin's know that the competition is going on and he will stick to playing on his own characters on WRA.

I'm assuming, being guildies and all, you won't be getting all ruffled at each other if someone happens to be farming a certain place for a long period of time. There's tons of places to 'camp' if one wanted to.

The Winner of our Critter Culling Extravaganza was Snowfeather with a huge pile of fur and scales of 10,740 dead critters. Totally overwhelmed everyone else. Degan, who was in second place, killed about 3000.

So congratulations to Snowfeather. I've sent one of Gohir's custom made mechanical rabbits to you.

And let's keep killing those critters folks. We don't need them getting overpopulated again.

((And we're already halfway to Critter Kill Squad! :D One day, I may have a critter kill day where we get together as a group and do some mass killing. Because it multiplies the kill count. In a group of five guildies, 1 dead animal = 5 counts!))

Congratulations Snowfeather and Degan. Now... do we have a pyre for all the little corpses?

((LMFAO!! 10,000?! I couldn't sit still in one place long enough to dedicate much time to it! I'm for team critter- cull!)
