What classes are available to the pandarens? Other than monks, of course.

Also, since they can be both Horde and Alliance, I seea future where half the server pop will be Pandarens.

Hmmm...
I'm iffy. Depends on what the MMO market is looking like by that time. Sure, I'd love to play a panderean and the monk class and new talent system seem to be taking a step in the right direction with reinventing gameplay, but still iffy. Still iffy.

Re-invent gameplay all you want, which is good and I like what I've heard regarding all that coming out of Blizzcon...

but...

SUDDENLY PANDAS!

does not a compelling story make. Without a compelling story the MMO tripod(gameplay, story, social) is missing a leg.

Well, there have been hints at them since Classic, with the Chen's Lost Kegs quest. And Chen was in WC3, I think.

The expansion website does kinda have explanation on why they suddenly appeared, I don't want to go into it here on account of spoilers. I like the idea of a monk class, although, I think it'll require more attention than most of the other classes.

I think the Pandaren racials are going to get changed though, they seem really overpowered.

***Spoiler***

Heh, I always thought about having a giant turtle having saved Tidestalker's tribe waaaaay back long ago.

Well, only one of them is particularly overpowered. The others seem pretty lackluster. (Though, we don't know anything about resistances and such for the sleep.)

Hopefully, they nerf Epicurean a little in favor of improving the others.

I accept the reason for suddenly Pandas. It's a totally plausible fantastical reason. My two concerns are that it is not something my mains would care about and two, you know how many pandas there will be? Especially considering they can be either faction.

Well, it may not be as big of an issue. I mean, they're still going to have the same faction/city limitations, quest limitations, so while there will be a lot of them, you may not encounter as many of them. Plus, once they're out of the starting areas, people will still have to level through all the same areas they are now, so that's going to deter some people. If anything, it might help balance some of the goblin and belves out for the horde, and the draenei and worgen out for the alliance. Especially since a number of the existing races can play the new class too.

*shrugs*

I think it'll be more of a novelty for people than anything they'll play long term. Even if there is a bigger amount than I'm thinking, they're planning on adding more stuff in game to get people out of the cities, so you might not encounter them as much.

I, however, am looking forward to my Panderan Brewmaster Monk. It's just a question of what server he'll be playing on. >_>

It might not matter. They're playing around with the idea of no limits to characters per server. Well, not no limits. But up to the max of characters a person can create which is currently 150. Might.
