I'm pondering what folks are going to do. I'm still undecided about it when I first heard of that option. But if I plan to stick around, and with the one year commitment, I will be paying per month instead of one lump sum (a year's worth), I might consider it. But will I have friends around to play with, is my question. I like shinnies too, but is there a reason for me to pick up the year commitment and continue playing?

Just doing a poll cause I'm bored.

I voted "I'm going to be here anyways, so why not."

I'm not deadset on it yet, but that's the way I'm leaning. I figure there's no reason *not* to pick it up if I'm going to be playing WoW anyway.

I'm kinda leaning that direction. I mean, I'm planning on picking up D3 anyways, and I'll probably start playing WoW again "soon" so if I can save some money by combining the two, it might be a good idea.

EDIT: On second thought, it might not be for a while. I was looking over the WoW forums, and got a big reminder of one of the reasons I took a break from the game.

I just signed up for it, myself. I don't plan on taking any extended breaks from WoW in the next year, especially if there's as little downtime between Cata and MoP as they're projecting. The guaranteed beta is a huge bonus for me, since I've never been lucky enough to get into any of the previous expansion betas. Plus, I've been curious about Diablo III, so now I'll get to try it out without having to pay for it. It's a win all around for me!

I am planning on taking a break, so not interested at all. Not to mention I'm not the one in the house interested in D3, heh.

I am unsure myself. I am giving SWTOR a strong focus when it launches, and if its going to be my new game, then I kinda feel like doing a one year commitment could be kinda pointless. Then again, part of me feels like I will probably come back to wow off and on even if I do focus on TOR. Also, I might want the collector's edition for Diablo 3, and getting four months added onto your year sub isn't exactly what I want heh.

Grimes, if you get the CE, the four months counts *toward* your year, I think.

I decided to go ahead and do it since...why not. I learned a few things that might be interesting to some folks.

So I have a 6-month subscription that doesn't end until March 2012. I signed up for the one year commitment and updated my billing stuff to 14.99/month plan.

My one year thing ends on 10/25/2012. My account is already paid for up to March 2012, so this mean I only have to pay May-Oct for my one year commitment fulfillment.

In reality, I only have to pay for 7 months because 5 months of my time have already been paid for. This works out for me. I thought my one year commitment would start after my current billing cycle ends. It doesn't. =D

Yeah, they pretty much made it work out to be as beneficial as possible. If you've already paid for any time, it automatically counts toward your year. If you get time anywhere else (time cards, free days from downtime, D3 CE), it all counts toward your year.

*nods nods*

I might end up retiring Jindall and roll a Pandaren Brewmaster Monk. I've always wanted to tank with two fist weapons. Sadly, not doable for druids. But brewmasters can! I'm thinking of character ideas already. Someone extremely laid back, enjoys booze, the pipe, food, life, etc. *shrugs* Well see what'll happen when it gets closer to release.

I thought I read somewhere where the weapon of choice for tanking monks was going to be staves and polearms. . .sorry, I'm derailing. >.<

Its okay. And you are correct. But seeing as monks being the only tanking, leather wearing class to be able to have claws on both paws, I'm gonna make every attempt to have claw weapons and use it for tanking. If possible >.>; If I wanted to tank with staves and polearm, I'd play Jindall, but his weapons would disappears when going to bear form.

Did it right away.

I know I'm coming back to WoW as soon as I can get my machine replaced. And I'm super excited about the expansion, so, that's at least a years worth of play there. The sparklepony didn't hurt, and free d3 is a ncie touch, now I can play it for free,. Just gotta stay the everloving ______ away form the F2P (free to PAY) AH.

Plus, Betas Access will be nice, without having to quibble or wait.
